Gauge block calibration

DAkkS-Accreditation-Certificate (PDF)

The gauge block calibrations up to 100 mm are carried out on 10 gauge block comparator by Tesa as UPC and UPD versions. The gauge block calibration up to 1000 mm is carried out on 5 Zeiss length measuring devices. All 15 measuring machines have been accredited by the DAkkS for the calibration of parallel gauge blocks.
  • DAkkS calibration of gauge blocks made of steel, tungsten carbide and ceramic from 0.5 to 100 mm
  • DAkkS calibration for special dimensions of parallel gauge blocks made of steel, tungsten carbide and ceramic from 0.5 to 100 mm
  • DAkkS calibration of parallel gauge blocks made of steel over 100 mm to 1000 mm
  • DAkkS calibration of ceramic gauge blocks over 100 mm to 500 mm
  • DAkkS calibration of parallel gauge blocks made of steel, ceramic equipped over 100 mm to 1000 mm
  • DAkkS calibration of square gauge blocks made of steel and tungsten carbide up to 100 mm
  • DAkkS calibration of parallel gauge blocks made of steel, tungsten carbide and ceramic from 1.27 to 101.6 mm
  • DAkkS calibration of steel and tungsten carbide for pairs of sets for the calibration of gauge blocks
  • Inhouse calibration of gauge blocks made of steel, tungsten carbide and ceramic up to 1000 mm
  • Immediate exchange of the worn gauge blocks Delivery time 1-2 weeks
  • Free repair of wooden cases
  • Free repair or replacement of locks and hinges

Calibration process:

  • Checking the gauge block sets upon receipt for completeness compared to order or delivery documents
  • Cleaning of wooden cases and - if necessary - repair
  • Cleaning of all gauge blocks
  • Gauge blocks are demagnetized if necessary
  • Removal of debris on the measuring surfaces with whetstones on every gauge block with signs of wear and repetitive cleaning of the gauge blocks
  • Temperature control of the gauge blocks in the measuring room (at least 24 hours)
  • Calibration of the gauge blocks in the calibration method requested by the customer
  • Immediate exchange of worn gauge blocks made of steel, tungsten carbide or ceramic
  • Lapping of gauge blocks over 100 mm to 1000 mm
  • Marking of the gauge blocks with identification number
  • Information to the customer and agreement on further measures
  • The gauge blocks are greased and released for shipping
